DWGdirect 2.5 Beta gives ODA members an early look at the newest DWGdirect libraries and the ability to provide feedback before the completed version is released. DWGdirect 2.5 includes support for additional features, including annotation scaling, DWF file underlays, and partial screen updates, and other enhancements to address member requests, such as table and table style support, implementation of new classes and methods, and more. Arnold van der Weide, President of the ODA, stated, “I am both pleased and confident with the ODA’s increased focus on quality and reliability of the DWGdirect software libraries. Adding a beta release to the software development cycle is one of many processes the ODA is putting into action in order to successfully meet its commitment to ODA members for boosted performance and stability along side a steady implementation of new features and enhancements.” Over the past year the ODA has advanced its development processes, scaled up quality assurance systems, and made significant investments in hardware infrastructure — all aimed at preparing the ODA for its plans to support its growing engineering efforts. The end goal is to deliver high-performing and open CAD format technology to a growing membership of highly recognized companies within the CAD industry. The completed DWGdirect 2.5 version is scheduled for release before the end of 2007. |
